Ideal temperature for cigar storage

The ideal temperature ranges from 18° and 21° C (64-70°F). A lower temperature, under 12° C (54°), hampers the cigars aging process. Therefore, cold wine cellars are only appropriate for storing cigars up to a point, although a too high temperature is worse.

A temperature over 24° C (74°F) can provoke an infection of parasite and cigar rotting. For this reason, the humidor can not be exposed to direct sunlight.
