In small humidors with capacity for no more than 75 type Robusto cigars, the rotation is not necessary since an even humidity level is achieved. In biggest humidors, in which trays and different heights are included, the closer to the humidification system the humidity level is, and the higher it will be.
For that reason, cigars stored during long period of time should be rotated at least once every one or three months. Likewise, cigars to be consumed first can be located nearer the humidifier and the ones to be stored during longer periods of time can be placed more distance from it.
A more uniform humidity level is achieved in the humidors with several trays if cigars are not put in the middle part of the trays, for improving the air circulation in the humidor.
The rotation of cigars is not necessary if electronic humidifiers are used in cabinet humidors.
